KAYSVILLE – On Thursday, April 4, 2013 our loving 77 year old wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned home to her Heavenly Father for a glorious reunion with her relatives that preceded her in death and the thousands whose genealogy and temple work she helped to complete.
She was born July 1, 1935 in Logan, Utah to Richard Clifford Sant and Lydia Emma Baur. On July 2, 1965 she married Lynn Edwin Oberg, the love of her life, and together they enjoyed raising their eight children.
Mom was an excellent homemaker and became quite adept at the intricacies of raising eight children and the challenges associated with them. Over the years she was blessed to spend more and more time with her sweetheart after he was able to take an early retirement. For years they worked together making various wood items which they would then sell around the state. Eventually they slowed down and learned to enjoy traveling together. Mom never stopped talking about the fun she had on these vacations. She also developed a strong passion for genealogy work and was able to connect family lines that genealogist had tried to connect for decades. She worked steadfast at genealogy work until she started to feel the effects of Alzheimer’s disease which eventually was the cause of her death.
She was preceded in death by our brother Mark (Shirley) Oberg. She is survived by her husband Lynn Oberg and her seven remaining children to include Steve Oberg, Michael (Pam) Oberg, Dean Godfrey, Karen Gustaveson, Scott Godfrey, Chris (David) Chandler and Kathy (Scott) Vore.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Gailey Park Ward Chapel located at 331 S. 50 W. in Kaysville, UT. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
