Lois George Sessions

Lois George Sessions passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her daughters on July 7, 2007.

Lois was born January 9, 1922, the eldest daughter of Aaron R. and Elizabeth George. Her mother passed away when Lois was ten, leaving a family of ten children. Aaron re-married Edith Amendsen George and Lois became the oldest daughter of 18 children. Lois adored Edith and soon she was revered as her "Mom".

She graduated from Davis High School and married her High School sweetheart, Don R. Sessions on February 14, 1940 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They raised five children. Together they served two Temple Missions one Manila, Philippines and the other Mesa, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don R., one son Brent R. Sessions, one granddaughter Tracy, five sisters and six brothers.

She is survived by Darlene (Bruce) Parry, Donell (Jerry) Thormahlen, Marjorie Grover and Rodney Sessions, 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Clearfield 2nd Ward, 1245 So. 1175 E. (new building). Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Brenda, her hospice nurse, for her loving care she gave our mother.
