Lois Elverda Wilson Waite was called home by her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the age of 86.

She was born March 2, 1926 in Ogden, Utah to Lewis Dunbar and Nora Bell Faulkner Wilson, She was number 11 of 14 children.

On September 10, 1942, Lois married the love of her life, Melvin Page Waite in Malad, Idaho. They were the parents of five children, (four girls and one boy). They were married 70 years before Melvin preceded her in death on March 7, 2012.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She loved her home, yard and shopping. She bowled for years.

Lois and Melvin were members of the Eagles for many years and participated in numerous activities. They danced and enjoyed fishing with friends and family.

Lois is survived by her children and their spouses, Sherilyn (Ralph) Marchant, Layton; Carol (Coplan) Vaughn, Syracuse; Jeaneen (Glenn) Logan, Roy; Ronnie (Francine) Waite, Roy; Cathy (Phil) Fullmer, Roy; 16 grandchildren (two deceased), 40 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dona Haws and Marva Willis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two granddaughters, Judy Marchant and Jennifer Fullmer, four brothers and seven sisters.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Heritage Park Care Center and also IHC Hospice for all of their tender, loving care given to Lois.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
