LOIS M. WARDIAN

Lois Mae Wardian, 86, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield.

She was born June 17, 1924, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, the daughter of Mark E. Meisner and Ivanette L. Everson Meisner. She graduated from Eau Claire High School in 1942.

She worked in photography studios processing photos and adding color to portraits before marrying her husband, Claud Wardian, on March 26, 1949. They enjoyed 60 happy years together before Claud''s passing in 2009. She later began a career with the Davis County Library, working mainly at the Clearfield branch, retiring in 1987.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing the piano and organ, and was an avid reader. Lois is survived by her son Mark Wardian, daughter Dianne (Alan) Cole and grandson Rylan Cole, all of Layton.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hearts for Hospice for the long-time loving care and friendship, and the staffs at Rocky Mountain Care Center and Hospice for their always kind and compassionate care during her stay there.

Friends and family may gather Monday, November 22, 2010, from 6 to 8 pm at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, to remember Lois'' life. Her daughter will speak briefly at 7 p.m.
