Lola Williams Pilgrim Boss

December 21, 1929 ~ October 30, 2014

Lola Williams Pilgrim Boss passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Emeritus Estates in North Ogden.  She was born on December 21, 1929 in Malad, Idaho, to William Morse and Olive Fiametta Myler Williams.  She was the oldest of four girls.

She married Gean George Pilgrim on June 2, 1948, shortly thereafter, their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  They had five children, Kathleen (Kendall) Peterson, Joy (Thomas) Pilgrim Bartlett, Julie (Russell) Facer, John Pilgrim, Mauri (Brock) Porter.  Gean passed away on September 15, 1984.

Lola then married Russel Herbert Boss on January 11, 1986, adding his four children, Wayne (Leslie) Boss, Janet (Jerry) McCoy, Elizabeth (James) Young, and Bonnie (James) Johnson to her family.  Russel passed away on March 1, 2008.

Lola was a loving mother who always took care of us.  She and Russel served three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she enjoyed her many other callings. She retired from the IRS after many years of service.

She loved to sew, made the best rolls in the world, and enjoyed gardening and most of all her time with family and friends.  She will be remembered most for her continual kindness and the excitement in her eyes and smile when greeting family, especially children.

She leaves behind her children, 18 grandchildren, 63 step-grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 76 step-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Loretta Allison Bosco, Madera CA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Colleen Davies and Vera Penrod.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
