Lola Mae Miles Brough of Kaysville, Utah, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2018 surrounded by those she loved most.
Lola was born on October 2, 1930 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. She was the fourth of six children born to Thora Ettie Byington and Reese Hansen Miles. She met and married the love of her life, Richard Lyle Brough in Logan, Utah. Together they raised seven children and were married for 63 wonderful years. She was her husband’s eternal sweetheart, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her greatest accomplishments were her children and her happy marriage. She and her husband served together in opening the Jamaica, Kingston mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1985 to 1988. How she loved her missionaries! She was a gifted cook and quilt maker. She loved good books, puzzles, and red cardinals. She was well known for her never-ending love of and service to others.
She is survived by her husband Richard, her sisters Dorothy Wooters and Maydene (Garth) Baxter, her children Shane (Marcea), Robin, Tami (Brad), Wendy, Tina (Bruce), Denalee (Niles), and Chad (Tina Marie). She has 31 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Junior, Rick, and Glen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Havenwood Ward, 235 North Bonneville Lane, Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers family suggests donating to the Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
