Lola B. Hatch
June 24, 1934 - May 22, 2013
Lola B. Hatch, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from complications due to cancer, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Born June 24, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Ut to James Alfred and Fern Brown Bryden. She was the first of 3 children. She grew up in Bountiful, Ut and attended Davis High, where she met the love of her life Paul.
Paul and Lola married in the Logan, LDS Temple on July 31, 1952 and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage with close family and friends.
Lola was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many callings including Primary, Young Women's and Relief Society where she most recently served as a Compassionate Service Leader.
She loved all kinds of handi-work, traveling in her trailer, I Love Lucy (especially the trailer episode), reading, The Jazz, BYU Sports, movies and anything that involved her children and grandchildren.
Surviving her is her husband of nearly 61 years Paul C. Hatch, Layton; sons Reed (Lori) Hatch, Roy, Alan (Dixie) Hatch, Layton, Paula (Jay) Ritchie, West Point, Renee (Bart) Weaver, West Point, Lynne (Brad) Allen, Syracuse, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brother Max (Marge) Bryden and sister, Alice (Danny) Wynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 50 W. Gordon Ave., Layton. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
