LAYTON a€" Lola Mae Perkins Lucas, 88, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was born June 4, 1921 to Benjamin Harrison and Joannie Sessions Perkins in Whiterocks, UT and moved with her family to Roosevelt and Mt. Emmons. She married Howard Lucas in Duchesne, UT on March 8, 1944 and they are the parents of one son Paul Howard Lucas and one daughter Marilyn Kay Lucas. They spent many years in Clearfield and Layton.

Lola was a member of the LDS Church, Greenleaf Ward and served in the Relief Society presidency in the Clearfield 7th Ward. She was President of the DUP and was very talented in making cards and crocheting. She was happiest making fancy handiwork items for family and friends.

Survived by her daughter Marilyn Kay, Layton, UT; sisters Alberta Cook, Lewiston, UT and Bonnie (Boyd) Allison, Layton, UT; three grandchildren: Jeff Lucas, Elvin Lucas and Joanna Allison; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Tim Kelley.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, son Paul and three brothers and four sisters.

She will be missed by all that knew her.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may gather Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Altamont, Utah Cemetery.
