Lola Delcomte Maxwell

Lola Delcomte Maxwell, age 87, of Clearfield, passed away on May 6, 2022, of natural causes. She was born July 27, 1934, in Hooper, Utah.  She was the fourth of nine children born to Aime Emile Delcomte and Leora Emily Maw.

Lola married William James Maxwell on January 12, 1953, in Ogden, Utah. Together they had five children: David, Terry, Teresa, Susan,and Kathy.

Lola was skilled in quilting, sewing, and crocheting. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary and the Relief Society.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband, William James (Jim) Maxwell; daughter, Kathy Maxwell; parents; 3 sisters (Jean, Wanda, Lois); and 3 brothers (Noal, Jim, Glen).

Lola is survived by her children, David (Nancy) Maxwell, Terry Maxwell, Teresa (Jim) Thompson, and Susan (Barry) Gunning; brother, Andy Dean Delcomte; sister, Helen (Buzz) Olenslager; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton (1867 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah 84041). Friends may visit with the family that morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary (1867 N. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah 84041).  Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton.
