Lola Deamer Simmons
NORTH OGDEN a" Lola Deamer Simmons, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 17, 2010.
She was born October 18, 1917 in North Ogden, Utah the daughter of William C. and Flora Waldram Deamer. She resided in North Ogden for 93 years.
Lola married Lester M. Simmons on June 21, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Relief Society Presidency, Young Women''s President, Junior Sunday School Coordinator, Chorister for Sunday School, Primary, Relief Society, Ward chorister along with several other callings.
She was a volunteer at Green Acres Elementary School for 20 years and was awarded the Silver Bowl in April 1996 for volunteer service by Lt. Governor Oleen Walker
Lola loved her family, crocheting, knitting, roses and watching Jazz basketball.
Surviving are her two daughters, Anne Simmons, North Ogden; Alicia Simmons Miller, Tremonton; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lester Simmons brother, Lyle Deamer, sister, Venna Storey, daughter, Carolyn Asay, son, Ron Simmons, grandson, Brent Asay and great-grandson, Blair Simmons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 2nd Ward, 770 E. 2100 No. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 No. Washington Blvd and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, North Ogden/Ben Lomond Cemetery.
