Londy Sue Child, 53, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born on June 18, 1962 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Delbert Roy and Evelyn Jessica Schimelfining Child.  Londy attended Weber County Schools and graduated from Weber High School and later earned her MPA in Political Science from BYU. 

She was an entrepreneur; she owned and managed her own floral company since 1998. , In 2006 Jungle Roses won the hearts of judges in a blind study conducted by the Wall Street Journal who voted them "Best Overall". 

Londy is survived by her son, Smokey Child; siblings, Connie and Ian Renton, Lee and Linda Child, and Joan Dangerfield; and other relatives, Ryan and Amber Spinden, Jared and Allison Spinden, Joe and SueAnn Reese, and Brad Jensen.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Interment will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. 

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Mount Ogden Care Center for the kindness and care they provided these past two years and to Dr. Harold Johnson and his dedicated team at Utah Hematology Oncology PC for providing the best and most appropriate care possible since Londy's Stage 4 diagnosis eight years ago.
