Lorene "Renie" Peck

Lorene “Renie” Peck Together Again Lorene Ada Halstead Peck passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah. Born July 31, 1930 in Council Bluff, Iowa the daughter of Clive and Kirstina Christensen Halstead. Married Larry Rollo Peck, Sr. December 1, 1951. Renie graduated from Shoshone High School in Idaho. She worked as a PBX operator at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake City. She enjoyed working at Grand Central, Pro Mark and Orbit. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Renie was an amazing caretaker to many and a strong-willed woman with many talents. She loved to cook and shared her meals with all who came to visit. Her kindness will be remembered by many. Renie lived to care for her “two” dogs Bailey and Maui. Renie is survived by her sons, Larry Jr., Jeff (Colleen), Hal (Heidi); daughter Julie (Mike) Faucett; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, twin sister (Rainie) and five siblings, husband, son Mickey and dog Bailey. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, April 18, 2013 at the Val Verda 1st Ward Chapel, 2633 S. 50 W. Bountiful. Friends may visit family Wed. April 17th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Thur. from 9:45- 10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
