Loretta K. Bundy
OGDEN – Loretta Brunhilda Kay Bundy, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Peach Tree Assisted Living Center.
She was born August 31, 1931 in New York, New York, a daughter of Adolf and Rosine Kay (Kazenwadel).
Loretta married Leslie Gerald Bundy on August 31, 1954 in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in 1960. Leslie preceded her in death.
She moved to Ogden in 1941 from New York City and graduated from Ogden High School in 1949.
Loretta was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and fulfilled many callings in her wards and stakes. Loretta was a lover of music and was well known for her acting and singing skills in many Ward and Stake Musicals, Roadshow’s and other productions.
She was active in the community and was an employee of the Ogden School District where she was the secretary at both Pingree Elementary and Jefferson Elementary Schools. She then spent many years at the District Office before retiring in 1996.
Loretta filled her life with service to others. Her charm, wit, strong personality and love for her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews will be missed, but her presence will always be a part of all she loved and cared for.
The family expresses special thanks to Hospice For Utah, Peachtree Care Centers, members of the LDS Church and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her children, Michael David (Barbra) Bundy, South Jordan, UT; Matthew John (Colette) Bundy, Mountain Home, ID; and seven grandchildren, Sarah, David, Kathleen, Jonathan, Nicole (Matt) Wiser, Nathan and Zane.
Also surviving are her sister Hilda Olsen, Roy; and her brother Rolf Kay, Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Frederick Kazenwadel, Irwin Kay and Guenther Kay.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
