Lorna B Call

Lorna Mary Bowen Call, age 88, passed away Wednesday July 11, 2012 in Draper, Utah. She was born September 25, 1923 in the View Ward of Burley, Idaho to Ida Eliza Tueller and Daniel Bowen, the 6th of 10 children.

She married DeVerl Call in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on October 23, 1942. They were blessed with a beautiful baby girl (Karen) on January 9, 1944, who lived just one day. They later divorced.

Lorna was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in various callings. She will be remembered for her loving smile, kind heart and quick wit. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, reading, watching movies and collecting spoons. Lorna was blessed with a good mind and a strong body.

Lorna is survived by five sisters, Thelma Christensen, Ruby Huber, Elna Johnson, Dona Bodily and Ida May Thornley (Gerald); brother, Daniel Bowen (Carol), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Willard Bowen, Lewis Bowen and Myron Bowen; brothers-in-law, Ned Huber, Lund Christensen, Erik Johnson and Jack Bodily.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at The Wentworth of Draper at 11631 S. 700 E. in Draper, Utah. Also on Saturday, there will be a viewing at 12-12:45 p.m. at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, Utah. Interment will follow at the Bountiful Lakeview Memorial Park at 1640 E. Lakeview Drive in Bountiful.
