Lorna Doyle

Our beautiful, amazing mother and grandmother, Lorna C. Doyle, passed away January 24, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born September 21, 1928. After high school, she worked at the Hill Force Base and received many awards.

She later met and married the love of her life John J. Doyle.  They were married for 70 years until his passing.

Together, they had three children whom they absolutely adore and love always.  Family was everything to her.  She always said, "I have the very best family". She was the best mom, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Lorna loved to travel, spend time with her family, play games and crossword puzzles to name a few. She loved to crochet. She crocheted the most beautiful clothes and blankets.  She crocheted hundreds of small blankets. Every time she filled a large bag she donated them to the Shriners Hospital of Utah for the patients and would immediately start on a new bag.

She always looked forward to holidays and spending time with her family.  One of her favorite things was playing cards. We would play for hours and always looked forward to it.  We have so many wonderful memories that we will treasure forever.  We will miss her life stories, thoughtfulness, quick wit, smile, laughter and hugs. Her love for us will always be in our hearts.

She is preceded in death by her husband and son Michael.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Claudia Jean Clough, son, Carlton (Mona) Doyle, and her sister Diana C (Luke) Adams, five grandchildren, Michael D. (Jeanette) Hanney, Brett Hanney, Casey Murphy, Tony Doyle, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Due to the pandemic, private graveside services were held with the immediate family, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
