Lorna Jean Rose
FARMERVILLE, Texas – Lorna Jean Rose, 71, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 in Farmerville, Texas.
She was born June 15, 1936 in Cove, Utah, a daughter of Lyman R. and Thelma Shepherd Eskelson.
On September 9, 1961, Lorna married Norris J. Taylor in Ogden. He died December 7, 1966. She married Glenn R. Rose on June 10, 1971 in Elko, Nevada.
She lived in Cove, Utah; Washington Terrace, Utah; Air Force Bases in Michigan, Germany and Cannon AFB in Clovis, NM; Ogden and Tooele, UT and Farmerville, TX.
Lorna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a saint and angel for raising three children as her own.
Lorna was a member of the Mountain Men of the Wasatch and served on the committee for a troop of Boy Scouts of America. Lorna enjoyed ceramics, sewing, needlepoint, crafts and Native American beadwork.
Surviving are her husband Glenn of Farmerville, TX; her children, Andrew E. (Dione), Glenn Jr. (Elizabeth), Thomas L. and Penny K.; and four grandchildren, Tranete, Krystal, Paul and Maddison.
Also surviving are two brothers, Shirl (Sue) Eskelson, South Ogden; Van R. Eskelson, North Salt Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the South Ogden 4th Ward Chapel, 4075 Orchard Avenue.
