Lorraine Hess Brough
KAYSVILLE - Lorraine Hess Brough, loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
She was born in Farmington, Utah on May 25, 1929, to Joseph Wells Hess Sr. and Hulda Violetta Johnson Hess. She grew up on Compton Bench in Farmington and was selected as the Farmington Fiesta Days Queen as a young woman. She graduated from Davis High School and LDS Seminary in 1947. She played the flute in the Davis High band and was a member of Pro Schola. She later married BenOrlo Harvey Brough in the Logan, Utah Temple on August 5, 1954.
Lorraine loved the Lord and lived an exemplary life. She served in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, including the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society programs and was an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple. She always served faithfully and to the best of her ability.

Lorraine served two LDS missions with her beloved husband, Ben, to the Austria Vienna Mission, and to the Germany Dusseldorf Mission.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, BenOrlo H. Brough, brother, Joseph W. (Jean) Hess Jr., four children: Gary (Marie) Brough, Joan Heusser, Lori (Sid) Williams, and Christine (Bill) Woodland; 22 grandchildren: Ryan (Brigit) Pack, Jennifer (Mike) Horne, Jared Pack, Kim Pack, Jeffrey Pack, Deena (Trevor) Giraud, Brian, Michael and Ashley Brough, Jamie (Mike) Heusser, Jacob and Aaron Heusser, Randy, Michelle, Carolyn and Stacey Williams; Billy, Brandon, Kira, Lauren and Marisa Woodland, as well as 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Karilene, and granddaughter Kristen Williams.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 4th LDS Ward, 875 E. 200 No. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
Our family wishes to express our love and gratitude to family, friends and neighbors who have given many hours of selfless service in helping take care of Lorraine as her health declined. The caregivers of Around -the -Clock Home Health Care and South Davis Hospice provided excellent, compassionate care so she could remain at home. Her husband, Ben, lovingly cared for her, and daughter, Lori, and her family dedicated countless hours to her care.
