Lorraine Andrew Parkinson Duce

Lorraine Parkinson Duce, 95, passed away on Monday morning, March 19, 2018. She was born in Wellsville, Utah, on September 19, 1922, to James Maurice Williamson Parkinson and Sarah Ann Andrew.
She married Ralph Ashcroft Duce on May 3, 1944, in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. They were married for over 70 years.
She was a lifelong active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in Primary, Relief Society, MIA and Sunday School. Lorraine and Ralph were ordinance workers in the Idaho Falls and Ogden Temples.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidering and working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved to travel, especially to see her grandchildren. She was a hard worker, and taught her children to work hard as well.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Durrell Duce of Mesa, Arizona; daughters, Peggy Ann (Frank) Culler of Farmington, N.M., and Jolene Lytle of Ogden; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; grandson, Stephen Frank Culler; daughter-in-law, Faye Adele Campbell Duce; brothers-in-law Franklin Duce and Sherm Sewell; and sister-in-law Jennie Duce.
The family expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to Applegate Hospice and Harrison Point Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will be in Wellsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LDS Church Missionary or Humanitarian Fund.
