Lorraine C. Harris

LAYTON a€" Lorraine C. Harris, 87, passed away December 25, 2008. She was born November 10, 1921 in Hyrum, Utah, the daughter of James G. and Laura Leishman Christensen.

She married Stanford Dee Harris and they were the parents of seven children. He passed away in 1956.

Lorraine was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions. She was a dedicated temple worker. Her life revolved around doing service for others.

Survived by sons Don (Alice) Harris; Dennis (Carol) Harris; Paul Harris; Daryl (Helina) Harris; Stan (Laura) Harris; daughter Carol (Bruce) Payne; 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and her brother, Dee Christensen.

Preceded in death by her husband Stanford, daughter Donna Robertson and granddaughter Heatherly Payne.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Lincoln Ward Chapel, 590 West Antelope Dr. in Layton. Friends and family may call Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the LDS Church missionary fund.
