Lorraine slipped peacefully away January 8, 2016. She was born March 13, 1921 in Layton, Utah to Harold Christopher Layton and Bird Belinda Adams. Growing up, she loved music and horses. Lorraine graduated from Davis High School in 1939. She married Howard Brough Flint who passed away in 1941. She went to work at Hill Air Force Base where she met Alvin E. Jacobson. They married and lived in Layton where they were both Presidents of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. Lorraine also was in a singing group that performed for many social and church functions. Lorraine devoted her life to Al and their children, Kay, Stew and Pete. Lorraine always made her family and friends feel important and loved!
New adventures awaited Lorraine and Al with their moves to Logan, Price, Salt Lake and Bountiful, Utah. They enjoyed traveling in their jeep and trailering with friends for over twenty years after retirement. Lorraine and Al were always together for 70 years and are at last “Together Again.”
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Howard and Al, brothers Ben and Hyrum and sister Annie, daughters Kay and Carrie and son Pete. She is survived by her son Stewart (Marg) and her half-brothers Robert and Sharman (Karen) Layton and half-sister Kathleen (Kermit) DeWall, 9 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, Layton, Utah on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11a.m. Friends may visit family from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
