Lorraine Chase Thon

June 25, 1930 ~ February 1, 2017

Lorraine passed peacefully on February 1, 2017.  We will cherish the memories of our incredible mother and grandmother.  Lorraine exemplified unconditional love for her family.  Her generous support of time and means were always greatly appreciated and the fond memories and traditions of holiday cooking and baking will last for generations to come.  Mom, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life, you will be in our hearts forever.  May your beautiful soul rest in peace.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Paul (Mary), Nichole (Bill), and Melissa (Kevin).  She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Matthew, Mycole, Kalli, Anastasia, Megan, Jakob, Phillip (Melanie), and Andy (Katie); and nine great-grandchildren.

She will join her husband of 36 years, Gene, who passed in 1997 and Joe, her son, who passed in 1978.

We appreciate the loving care and support from our family, our friends, the staff at Sunrise Retirement Living, and Natalie from Inspiration Hospice.

As requested by Lorraine, a short graveside service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family following the service on Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Oh fiddle!  In lieu of flowers, please plant a geranium in a pot or hosta in your yard in memory of Lorraine.
