LouAnn C. Smith OGDEN – LouAnn Christine Smith, 68, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was born July 22, 1941 to Olive (Frank, stepfather) Sandberg, and was later adopted by Harry and Virginia Smith, Jr. She graduated from Tooele High School. On September 9, 1959, LouAnn married Harry Smith, Jr. They soon moved to Ogden. Following Harry’s passing, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many callings and at the time of her death was working as an Extraction worker. Lou, as she liked to be called, has been described as a very thoughtful, caring and loving person. LouAnn is survived by her mother, Olive Sandberg and one sister, Janet (John) Koehne; her children, Harry E. Smith III stepson, Michael (Camilla) Smith, Robert (Patricia) Smith, Tammy Braegger; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her father, Frank, and sister, Carol Michellei. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Tooele City Cemetery, for those who would like to attend. Funeral directors, Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
