February 23, 1946 ~ January 21, 2015

Louis Ray Hahne, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away in his home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

He was born on February 23, 1946 in Cedar City, Utah to Leslie and Marian Hahne.

Lou served in the Spanish-American Texas mission for the LDS church. He was an active and faithful member of the LDS church all his life. Following his mission, he married the love of his life, Sandra Rae Peterson who was awaiting his return. They were wed on June 14, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his time in the service and had a great love and respect for his country. He especially enjoyed sharing stories about his Military experiences.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Weber State University.

Lou and Sandra had three children; Jeff, Brian, and Laura. He loved his children dearly and was so proud of each of them.

Lou was an avid reader and always had many books around the house. He was a wonderful photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of everything, especially his grandchildren. He had a special knack for capturing each of their unique personalities. Lou absolutely loved and adored his wife, Sandra. They had a remarkable marriage and loved each other very much. He always said that separately they were imperfect, but together they were perfect. They treated each other with love and respect and were a great example of what a marriage should be.

Lou is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Peterson) Hahne, brother, Bob (Karen) Hahne, sons, Jeffrey Louis (Patty) Hahne, Brian David (Kelsey) Hahne, daughter, Laura (Matt) Love, and nine grandchildren, Travis, Colton, Emily, Caden, Madeline, Gaven, Isaac, Annabelle, and Alec; and his beloved dog, Skippy.
