Louis Charles Lucido 1952-2012
Louis Charles Lucido, 59, passed August 1, 2012 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born November 20, 1952 in Santa Monica, CA, to Stanley and Ruth Lucido.
He served honorably in the Marines from 1969-1972 and continued to help vets every chance he could whether through employment or his own generosity. He was President and Founder of Becho Inc., 1979-2011. He started Becho with $300 dollars and a pick-up truck, turning it into a multi-million dollar international legacy. Becho created a home for many families and Lou was more than a boss, he was a best friend, a father figure and a brother to all. He affected every life he came in contact with and has left the biggest hole he has ever drilled in the hearts of many.
In addition to Becho he had an active role in politics. He served on the Utah State Disbarment Commission and in 1986 he was a Congressional Appointee and Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Businesses. Lou was also the Founder and President of Becho Blasting and ROC Equipment. His business and life adventures took him from China, to Russia, to Italy and beyond.
He loved his ranch and horses. He took every chance to pen, sort and ride, whether it was on the Big Daddy in Cheyenne, Wyoming or riding wild horses in Beatty, Nevada. He won several buckles, saddles and enjoyed the circuit and bringing cattle off the open range with his two sons.
He married the love of his life Elizabeth Drew on May 10, 1980. He lived life to the fullest always attending his family''s events as well as being a loyal U of U fan. He was proud of his kids and pushed them to excel in all areas of life.
Louis is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Lucido, mother Ruth Lucido, two sons Rusty and Anthony Lucido, daughter Vanessa Lucido, sister Ruth Ann Anderson and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Stanley Lucido and brother Stanley K. Lucido.
Celebration of Lou''s life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Rice Eccles Stadium''s Scholarship Room, Salt Lake City, Utah from 6-9 pm with tribute at 7 pm. He will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Peterson Cemetery, following a 10:30 am service and celebration at the Lucido LL Ranch, 4110 W. Peterson Creek Dr. Morgan, Utah under the direction of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
