Louise Dunn

Louise Dunn OGDEN – Louise Dunn, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away on Monday February 4, 2008 in Ogden, surrounded by her loving family. She was born a valentine baby on February 14, 1910 and lived her life by the very essence of the holiday her birth represented. She was born in Richmond, Utah to Matilda and Raymond Curtis Rowland and graduated from North Cache High School. She attended Utah State University and much later in life attended Weber State College. Louise married Lionel Robinson “Ray” Dunn on June 11, 1934 in Ogden, Utah. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1982. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, primarily as a mutual leader for 13 years where she developed lifelong friendships with many of the girls. She considered her greatest assets to be her close personal relationships and loyalties with her family and friends, and she took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with them. Always willing to lend a hand, she was the “glue that kept our family together” and will be deeply missed by all whose life she touched. Louise worked in accounting/bookkeeping at Britain’s Clothing and later at the Standard Examiner where she was employed until the age of 65. Upon retiring from the Standard, she became a licensed realtor and worked for Real Estate Exchange. She is survived by her only son, Dr. Gordon (Rosemary) Dunn, step-daughter, Jean, three grandchildren and their spouses, David and Donna, Sabra and George, Chaunelle and Duke, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Bailey and many nieces and nephews whose devotion will always be treasured. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-son, Dean, two brothers, Bill and Fred, and her two sisters, Margaret and Connie. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
