June 8, 1941 – December 8, 2017

SYRACUSE – Louise Fielding, 76, died at her home Friday, December 8, 2017 surrounded by her family.  She was born June 8, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Floyd and Leida Patterson.  On November 17, 1956, she married her love of her life, Ronald J. Fielding and later sealed together for all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working on family history.

She was a member of the USWRCA.  She rode with Boots n Saddle, Davis County Sheriff Posse, Hoofbeats Riding Club and Rockin R.  She loved cheering on her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the riding club meets and any rodeo they participated in. She would be the first to tell you what you done wrong, but then she would also tell you what you did right.  She loved telling everyone how proud of her family she was and of their accomplishments in and outside the rodeo arena.  She and Ron loved spending the winters in Yuma, Arizona.  She loved playing cards when her family was all around, especially around the holidays.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and sister.  She is survived by her husband; children: Cindy (Lewis) Rhoades, Dean (Lori) Fielding, and Robyn (Robert) Gruber; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Trailside Ward Chapel, 2887 W. 2700 S., Syracuse, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
