Louise Mitchell Palmer

Louise Mitchell Palmer, 98, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 17, 2018.
She was born on September 11, 1919, in Parowan, Utah, the first daughter of William Warner and Georgia Ella Brown Mitchell.
She met Rodney Isom Palmer in a chemistry class at the BAC (SUU) and later married him in the St. George Utah LDS Temple on May 29, 1941.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod, her brother Robert, and three grandchildren. Louise is survived by her two sisters Mary Jane Seaman and Kathryn Georgia Mitchell (Daryl) Halterman. She is also survived by her three children: Robert Alan (Marlene), John Rodney (Elaine) and Barbara Ann (Steven) Crump; six grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
Louise was curious about everything, read broadly, was an accomplished mineralogist and a published author. She loved her family most of all and at the end of her life, when she had forgotten most everything; she remembered her family and continued to ask about them.
She will be interred in the Parowan City Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the Parowan Third Ward Chapel. Dedication of the grave will be held after the service.
Light refreshments will be served at the church.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
Flowers should be ordered through a local florist in Parowan. The funeral home will not be able to deliver the flowers.
