Louise Anderson Wise

Louise Carline Anderson Wise passed away Friday, February 12, 2010.

She was born December 27, 1920 in Ogden, Utah, the first of the six children of Katherine Rebekah Potter and Joseph Andrew Anderson. She graduated from Weber High School.

On December 19, 1941, she married her sweetheart Paul Thomas Wise, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Louise lived all but a few months of her life in Taylor. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, and her greatest accomplishments were supporting her husband and raising her four sons. She was an avid supporter of her sons in the many sports that they loved.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she served in many Church positions including many years as a primary worker for special needs children and 17 years assisting in the Ogden Family History Center with her husband.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James T. Wise; and two brothers, Hyalmar and Irvin Anderson.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; three sons, Melvin P. (Julie) Wise, Star Valley, WY; Stephen A. (Joy) Wise, Frederick, MD; and Verl L. (Vicki) Wise, Farr West, UT; her only sister and best friend, Bertha (Orrin) Kartchner, Taylor, UT; and two brothers, Vernal (Valoy) Anderson West Haven, UT; and Keith (Janice) Anderson, Taylor, UT.

After raising all sons, she was blessed with an abundance of granddaughters to share her wisdom, advice, and experiences. She was particularly proud of her ten grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Shumway, Carson City, NV; Mary (Anthony) Grzemski, Cheyenne, WY; Emily Wise, Kayenta, AZ; Melanie (Ben) Mitchell, Keizer, OR; Stacy Wise, Halifax, Canada; Hollie Wise, Frederick, MD; Laura (Tim) Smith, Bushkill, PA; Natalie (Chad) Hackley, Colorado Springs, CO; Chad Wise, Washington Terrace, UT; and Chase Wise, Salt Lake City, UT; and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylor 3rd Ward Chapel, 2200 South 4300 West, Taylor, with Bishop Thomas A. Rogers officiating.

The family will greet friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the church house.

Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
