LouJean Webb
(June 22, 1944 – April 10, 2013)
LouJean Webb, 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in Ogden, Utah following a difficult illness.
She was born in Ogden on June 22, 1944 and was a life-long resident of Washington Terrace where she lived in the same house since she was 12 years old. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl Leroy and Ireta Rich Pugmire Webb who came to Ogden from the Bear Lake Valley on the Utah/Idaho border. LouJean was a proud descendant of Charles C. Rich and Jonathan Pugmire, prominent Utah Pioneers who settled the Bear Lake area in the 1860s. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
LouJean served in many callings in the Washington Terrace Second and Seventh Wards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She often told amusing anecdotes about her experiences as a teacher of three-year-old Primary Children . . . the Sunbeams.
She graduated from Bonneville High School and attended Weber State University. She retired from service in 2002 after a full and rewarding career at Hill Air Force Base.
LouJean is survived by her devoted sister, Carol Wade (Byron) of Porter, Texas with whom she lived in Florida and Texas during the last 10 winters of her life. She is also survived by a niece, Carrie Koshkin (Jeff) of Humble, Texas, two nephews, Timothy Wade (Nicole) of Richmond, Virginia and John Wade (Tonja) of Lindon, Utah to whom she was an indulgent and beloved aunt. “Aunt LouJean” is loved by her grandnieces and nephews, Drake, Ashtynne, Thayne, Ainslee, Garrett, Adalynn and baby Ethan and frequently visited them all in their homes.
LouJean centered her life around her family and her many wonderful friends with whom she toured exotic locations in Europe, North and Central America, the Pacific Islands, Australia and, her favorite, New Zealand.
The family expresses their gratitude to LouJean's devoted friends who visited and comforted her in her final, difficult weeks; and also to the staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center, to her knowledgeable kidney specialist Adhish K. Agerwal, M.D. and her attentive primary care physician, Nameer Qader, M.D., of whom LouJean was particularly fond.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Boulevard. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Aunt LouJean's spirit is with her loving parents; her body will be placed to rest at Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Boulevard . . . just across the highway from Washington Terrace.
