Lowell Dean Perkins
KAYSVILLE a" Lowell Dean Perkins, 83, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2008.
He was born August 27, 1924 in Kaysville the son of William and Mamie Coombs Perkins. He resided in California for 23 years. After retirement he moved to Utah in 1983.
Lowell married Della Kurt on May 26, 1951 in the St. George LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on February 11, 1990.
Lowell served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He served an LDS mission to New England and Nova Scotia, Canada. He served as Bishop in Buena Park, California and held many other positions.
Lowell liked painting, traveling, building projects and fishing.
Surviving are his son Jeff (DeeDee) Perkins, Kaysville; grandson, Sean Perkins, five brothers, Merrill (Gus), Harold (Ruth), Richard (Kathy), Eugene (Shirley), Vaughn (Birchall), three sisters, Elaine (Henry) Roberts, Beverly (Frank) Ferrante and Marsha (Ken) Rackham.
Preceded in death by his wife Della, son Steve, and granddaughter Shannon.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 855 East Mutton Hollow Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
