Lt. Col William A. Burns, age 84, passed away on August 26, 2023 at his home in Layton, Utah. He

was born September 30, 1938 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Charles A. and Betty Ewing Burns.

 

He married Arlene Cesnak on March 27, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas.

 

Bill served in the United States Air Force for 20 years where he was a Lieutenant Colonel.

He lived in Europe, Hawaii, Ohio and Utah. He was President of the Retired Officers Association.

 

He enjoyed playing baseball, golf, making up his own games to play, and coaching baseball and

soccer. He thoroughly loved to travel with his grandkids to their great grandparents’ house in Ohio.

 

He was very proud of his military service.

 

Bill is survived by his wife Arlene, sons; Bill Jr., Scott, six grandchildren, one great granddaughter and

his brother Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Burns.

 

The family would like to thank Intermountain Hospice, volunteer Reed and Wasatch Senior Care.

 

Bill did not want any formal services held. Please celebrate his life in your own way.
