Lt. Col. Harold (Bud) Reynolds Gammon

KAYSVILLE a" Harold Reynolds Gammon, 78, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather died peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Harold LeRoy and Edna Fern Reynolds Gammon on 17 August 1931 in Provo, Utah. He married the love of his life, Eleanor Ann Stockwell in the Mesa LDS Temple on 30 September 1955.
Bud was a decorated officer in the U.S. Air Force and a command pilot. He flew and fought in the Viet Nam War. He retired as a Lt. Colonel.
Bud served an LDS mission to California in 1950. Bud and Ann also served a CES mission in Manchester, England, and a military support mission in the Seoul West Korea Mission. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary while in Korea. Bud was very diligent in his church callings, and with Ann served several stake missions. They were ordinance workers at the Bountiful Temple.
A finer man never lived. He loved his family with all his heart. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Bud is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Kenneth (Simone), Kevin (Freda), Kelly (Lori); daughters, Kaye (Barry), Karen (Mark), and Kim (Jim); 37 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Fern (Allen), Dortha (Bob), Norman Jean (Jim), Etana (Dean), RoEna, Ina Helen (Ted), Linda (Wayne) and Mary Jane (Sheldon).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 6 January 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 855 E. Mutton Hollow Road. A family gathering will be held prior to the funeral at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
