On April 6, 2023 LuAnne “Lu” Lewis passed away in her sleep. Mom could easily be described as “quite a character” which would undoubtedly include her fondness for Astrology, her dedication to the golden arches’ Diet Coke, and a love of antiques and second-hand shopping. She found humor in many, sometimes even silly, things which always brought out that infectious laugh of hers. Mom was very handy and prided herself on doing things on her own, and she encouraged others to be the same. However, if you found yourself struggling in the “do-it-yourself” department, she was always eager to sign herself up for the task (this usually meant roping another family member into the mix). She had a fondness for home décor, which, whether she intended it or not, always kept your eye busy looking for something unique and new.
She always said her best years were spent raising her kids, and that genuine quality could still be found in her with her grand-kids. She simply couldn’t resist helping, teaching, guiding, or offering advice to others in any way possible, never expecting anything in return. She truly was selfless, generous, and big-hearted. And even though her light has gone out here on Earth, we know that she’ll continue to send light and love to all of us every day.
LuAnne is survived by her children, Jeremy (Heather), Stacie (Stu), Brett (Erin), and Rindy (Eric); her grandchildren, Katie (Garrett), Hadleigh (Tayson), Holden, Tyler, Nathan, Jenesee, Evan, Wyatt, Blake, and Brooklyn; and her great-grandchildren, Gavin and Olivia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard & Betty; brother, Jeffrey, and her grandson, Kade.
In honor of Mom’s wishes, there will be no services or viewing.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary.
