Nearing 93, Lucille S. Macfarlane got her wish to "go back home" on Saturday, June 11, 2011. We think she had been preparing herself for this part of her journey for many months and let us know that she was ready.
Born on August 29, 1918 to John T. and Florence Stoker in Plain City, Utah; she lived her life in Ogden.
Lucille married Willard M. "Bill" Macfarlane in 1937 and shared their life with their six boys. She will forever be remembered for her twinkling eyes, a loving smile, joyful nature, petite size and warm, welcoming spirit.
She is survived by daughter-in-law, Rita Macfarlane, Kansas; Bob and TJ, California; Jay and Jayme, Florida; Mike, South Carolina; Jerry and Connie, Ogden; Scott and Adair, California; 26 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren; her caring sister, Shirley Fronk, Ogden; and a great many nieces and nephews.
Passing before her was husband, Bill in 1989; son Col. W.R. "Dik" USAF Ret. in 1992; grandson, Stephen; brothers, Glen and Jack Stoker; and sister, Ilene Wilkinson.
Our great appreciation and gratitude to all the very caring people of The Legacy House for sharing the final year of her life.
