Lucy Priscilla VanderLinde Dunyon 1927 ~ 2012

CLEARFIELD a€" Lucy Priscilla VanderLinde Dunyon passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 16, 2012, and has begun a new journey free of the pain and illnesses she endured for so many years.

Lucy was born on May 21, 1927 to Gerrit and Jennie VanderLinde. She married Roy E. Dunyon on January 29, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple and they moved to Clearfield, Utah in 1957.

Lucy was very social and loved being surrounded by friends and family. She enjoyed reading and sewing. When she could no longer see to read, she loved having someone read to her. She especially enjoyed having her daughter read her the newspaper. She was very interested in current events, but hated politics.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Jennie, all of whom she loved dearly and knew, without a doubt, that when she left this life they would be reunited.

She is survived by her son Randy (Judi), daughter Julia (Ron) Ingoldsby, five grandsons, two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren and a sister.

Lucy resided at Rocky Mountain Care Center, in Clearfield for the past 12 years and her family would like to thank the caring staff, her second family, for the kindness and care they showed her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
