LuDean Tucker Seeley

LuDean Tucker Seeley, age 91, passed away of natural causes on Friday, July 13, 2018.
LuDean was born on February 7, 1927, in Fairview Utah to George Que and Goldie Terry Tucker. She attended school in Fairview and Mt.Pleasant and was a graduate of North Sanpete High School. After graduating from high school LuDean attended Utah State University. While in college, she married Val Woodward. They had three children together, then later divorced.
LuDean went back to college and got her degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. LuDean taught school in Cache Valley for 20 years.
In 1970 she married Mont Seeley in the Logan Temple. LuDean and Mont lived in Nibley for several years. In 1993, they moved to South Ogden. They spent fifteen winters in St. George. They enjoyed friends, activities, going on tours and visiting family. LuDean was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served many callings.
LuDean had many talents. She wrote a sugar-free cookbook after Mont was diagnosed with diabetes. She was an excellent seamstress. Mont enjoyed woodworking projects. Together they made gifts for family and friends for many years.
LuDean shared her father’s love for horses. She and Mont raised and rode Arabian horses when they lived in Nibley.
LuDean was involved in community service. She spent many years volunteering at various Care Centers in Logan and South Ogden. LuDean volunteered her time when she was in St. George as well. She loved spending time at Wal-Mart helping with the Christmas Giving Tree gathering toys and clothes for children in need.
LuDean was preceded in death by her husband, Mont; son, Dean; three sisters, Goldie Mower, Vada Nielsen, and Lilly Allen as well as her brother, QueDell Tucker.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Terry) Woodward, Kathryn (Larry) Bittner, Sandra (Bill) Pimentel, Scott Seeley, and Kelly (Lisa) Wadsworth; and daughter-in-law, Carol (Dean) Woodward; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren,7 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at6 11:30 a.m. at the Fairview Cemetery, East 100 North, Fairview, UT. The friends may visit with family on Tuesday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. A luncheon will follow the services for family and friends.
