Lulu Louise Hoyt
LAYTON a" Lulu Louise Hoyt, 91, passed away Monday, January 23, 2012.
She was born March 18, 1920 in Ririe, Idaho the daughter of Joseph William and Lulu Elizabeth Weaverling Dutson.
Louise was raised in Ririe, ID; and resided in Ogden, UT, Boise, ID, Washington Terrace, UT, settling in Layton, Utah in 1966, living at Apple Tree and Apple Village for the last few years.
She married Francis Oliver (Bud) Hoyt on January 10, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on January 17, 1979.
Louise was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings. She served a mission to Independence, MO in 1982.
She worked as a secretary and supervisor at Internal Revenue Service, retiring after 24 years of service.
Louise liked going to the Senior Citizens Center in Kaysville, UT and attended sewing, knitting and ceramics classes. She went dancing often with her good friend George Nash. Louise loved sewing and making her own clothes, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and traveling. She traveled all over the world.
Everyone that knew Louise loved her very much. She will definitely be missed by all her family and friends.
Surviving are her brother, William Daniel (Faun) Dutson, Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Bessie Elizabeth Roberts, Ashton, ID; Betty Jean (Dean) Hamilton, Layton; Donna Marie Roueche, Layton; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister Meneta Pabst.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Layton East Stake Center, 1015 N. Emerald Drive. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
