"Lulu" Mary Valdez

January 6, 1956 ~ April 2, 2016

Mary Louise Valdez passed away peacefully on April 2, 2016. LuLu was loved by many. She was known for her sense of humor and funny outlook on life. Her presence would always take over the room and she always had the greatest stories to be told, always telling it like it is and never leaving out the most embarrassing details. Mama LuLu cursed worse than a sailor and didn't care who was around, even her missionary friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Roy Valdez; son, Edward Orlando Valdez; father and mother, Jose Rubel and Lena Garcia; and brothers, Roger and Orlando Garcia. LuLu is survived by her children, Henry Roy, Melanie Mercy, Kristen, Ricky Roy Valdez and Spanky; her siblings, Rachel and Steve Salazar, Anita and Chuck Diarte, Elena Vigil, and Darnell Garcia, and all of her mutts as she used to call them 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
