Lupita G. Leon

Lupita Leon, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 8, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 25, 1937 in New Mexico to Filberto and Aneda Gurule.

She married the love of her life Adolfo Leon, Jr on May 12, 1956 in Layton, Utah.  Together they had four beautiful children.

Lupita spent most of her life as a homemaker, where she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.  She enjoyed sharing stories of her past and talking about Jesus!

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her two children, Theresa (Rick) Bodle and Eugene (Teisha) Leon all of Layton City, Utah, her 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  Also surviving her are two brothers, Joe Gurule and Rudy Gurule.  She was preceded in death by her parents Alberto and Aneda Gurule, her husband Adolfo, two children Alice and Anthony Leon.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
