BOUNTIFUL

Lyle A. Christensen, age 88, passed away January 13, 2011 at Bountiful Life Care Center. He was born in Preston, Idaho to Auraul and Naomi Christensen, the oldest of nine children. He married Barbara Beckstead and they had three children, later divorced. He married Ruth May Turville, his beloved sweetheart. Ruth came with three boys that completed their family.

Lyle worked in Preston for International Harvester. Later they moved to Bountiful where he worked for Cummins Intermountain Diesel until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an Aviation Machinists Mate First Class

He enjoyed boating, camping and snowmobiling with the family, and building their dream cabin in Grasscreek called "Our Special Place", where they shared many fun times with family and special friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; sons Dennis (Anita) Christensen, Denny (JoAnne) Turville, Dean (Gay) Turville, Bruce (Patty) Turville, daughters; Linda (George deceased) Huntzinger, Dixie (Ed) Ercanbrack; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit with the family from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
