Lyle M. Hodson PLAIN CITY – Lyle Milton Hodson, 83, was called home Thursday, April 10, 2008 from causes incident to age. He was born November 6, 1924 in Plain City, Utah to William Alma and Sarah Ellen Richardson Hodson. He was the youngest born into a family of six children. Lyle married Marion Lucielle Morby in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 26, 1946. They made their home in Plain City where they raised their five sons and five daughters. Marion died August 27, 1973. Lyle later married Reta Chadaz on July 13, 1996 in Tremonton, Utah where they resided until her death on January 25, 2005. He graduated from Weber High School and attended Weber State College. Lyle served in the military during World War II as an aircraft radar mechanic. Later he worked civil service at Ogden Defense Depot where he retired. He then worked for Weber County School District as a carpenter. He served in the Plain City LDS Ward as a Scout Master for several years and also as a Young Men’s President. Lyle enjoyed traveling, fishing, leatherwork and riding motorcycles. He was a friend to whomever he met and had a great sense of humor. Surviving are his children, DeAnn (Russell) Clippinger, Clinton; Denise (Mark) Manore, Plain City; Janice (Ralph) Nelson, Ogden; Jack (Myrna) Hodson, Harrisville; Peggy (William) Cope, Provo; Pamela (Charlie) Olsen, Pleasant View; Larry (Shelly) Hodson, and Lynn (Susan) Hodson, both of Plain City; 43 grandchildren and 78 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both wives, two sons, Lyle Blair Hodson and Douglas Brent Hodson, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Plain City Stake Center, 4630 West 2150 North, with Bishop Craig Bodily officiating. Friends may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the Stake Center 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Plain City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
