Lyle Dean Loveland

February 27, 1950 ~ October 7, 2015

Lyle returned home to his Heavenly Father Wednesday, October 7, 2015 after battling a long illness.

He was born February 27, 1950 to Chauncey Ray and Colleen Sherwood Loveland. He was the second of four children, Georgia (Mike) Enlow, Jill Johnson, and Brett Layne Loveland. Lyle grew up in Washington Terrace, Utah and was a graduate of Bonneville High School, Class of 1968.

He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation and was assigned to the Artillery Unit. He was stationed in California and honorably discharged in June of 1970.

He met and married Sheryl Lynne Taylor November 5, 1970. They had three children, Chas Victor Loveland, Kellie Kay Beus (Troy Hadley), Jaime Lynne (Mike) Rich. Lyle and Sheryl have six grandchildren.

Lyle followed in the steps of his father and became a painter, eventually owning his own painting company.

He became a faithful member of the LDS Church later in life and lived his life following the teachings of the Gospel.

Lyle was preceded in death by his father, mother, and his beloved wife. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He had the kindest heart and was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

His joking personality was loved by all and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, where military honors will be accorded. The family will meet with friends Monday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
