Lynn H Montgomery

Lynn H. Montgomery, 89, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Peachtree Place.

He was born April 8, 1920 in Liberty, Utah to Harvey and Bessie Rhodes Montgomery.

On March 1, 1942, Lynn married Shirley Marberger in Ogden, Utah. They were happily married for 67 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Radioman 1st Class.

Lynn worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the FFA.

Following his retirement, Lynn raised and raced quarter horses. His first love was baseball and he loved playing golf once or twice a week. His sons were active in high school sports and Lynn never missed a game.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Gary L. "Rusty" (Robyn) Montgomery, Riley B. (Kris) Montgomery, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Verna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Blaine and a sister, Iris.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

Family and friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
