“Papa’s gone Hunting”
Lynn Dennis Nelson, our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend left us far too soon on November 12 th , 2014 easing his pain. It is impossible to list all of Lynn’s accomplishments. Lynn was born May 4 th , 1950 to Dennis and Helen Nelson in West Valley City Utah. Lynn served with the Utah National Guard working with radar tracking systems and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Weber State University and an MBA with an emphasis in Technology Management from University of Phoenix. Lynn worked for Kennecott for over 30 years holding many positions throughout the company and ultimately retired from their business improvement division after earning the position of Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Lynn was an extremely intelligent, educated, and successful man however; Lynn’s greatest accomplishments were in regard to his family. Lynn loved Football and was an avid hunter, fisherman, outdoorsman, talented musician, and singer. He loved to spend time outdoors with his family in “God’s Country”. He was an attentive and loving husband, an exceptional father, role model, best friend, and caring grandfather that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Lynn leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years Trish Nelson, his very proud Son Sean Nelson (Candice), two beautiful Granddaughters, Allexis and Khylee and two siblings, Tom Nelson (Shauna), and Barbara Udy (Tom). Lynn also left behind many nieces, nephews, and friends that will deeply miss his laughter, jokes, and outgoing personality.
Lynn would not want us to be sad. Because of this, a celebration of Lynn’s life and accomplishments will be presented by his loving family at Totems Steakhouse, 538 S Redwood Road, Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00.
The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
