OGDEN a€" Lynn A. Richardson passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 21, 2008, into his next estate.

He was born May 20, 1918, to Solan and Nona Erekson Richardson in West Jordan, and was their last surviving child. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1935, and Utah State University in 1939 with a bachelor''s degree in agronomy and animal science. More importantly, he met his sweetheart, Donna Peterson. They were married on September 5, 1939, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and have shared 68 wonderful years together.

They lived in Ogden, where he worked until 1961 for Paramount Dairy & Ice Cream Company. At that time he went to work for First Security Bank as their agricultural representative. He retired in 1983 as Vice President and Division Marketing Manager.

Lynn was very friendly and well known throughout the area. "Mr. Rotary" served as Ogden Rotary Club President and District Governor for Utah District 542. For decades he was the voice of Plain City Dairy Days. He served on the Ogden City Council, President of the Air Force Association, President of the Defense Supply Agency Assoc., and chairman of Ogden Pioneer Days. He received a distinguished alumni award from U.S.U. where he was a Business School Board member. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife. Lynn was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Surviving are his wife, Donna, and his children: Carol Lynn and Ron Dusek, Lake Oswego, OR; Judy and Terry Kneebone, Cedaredge, CO; and Brent and Diane Richardson, Ogden; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and Uwe Schmitt, Rotary Exchange son from Germany.

Lynn was preceded in death by two granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 27, at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
