Lynn Walker

Lynn Holmes Walker, our beloved father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, April 11, 2014. He was born October 30, 1934 in Rigby, ID to Allen Holmes and Margaret Lora Taylor Walker. He married Carol Jean Thiel on February 12, 1966 in Dietrich, Idaho. She passed away August 4, 2013.

Lynn grew up on a farm outside of Idaho Falls. He had a lot of great memories and stories of all his hard work. He resided in Fruit Heights for 38 years. A member of the LDS Church, he was a great neighbor and home teacher. He loved to read and had read every Louis Lamour book at least twice. He enjoyed playing the organ and guitar and absolutely loved chocolate!

He is survived by son Robert L. Walker, Fruit Heights; daughter Jennifer (Frank) Tom, Layton; and brothers: Perrin (Charlotte) Walker, Gene (Carolyn) Walker and Kay (Angela) Walker. Preceded in death by his loving wife Carol and his brother Dahl Walker.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Fruit Heights 6th Ward, 77 South Orchard Dr. (1325 East) where friends may visit with family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd.

Some trails are happy ones,
