Lynn John Ward

October 27, 1947 ~ July 12, 2015

Lynn John Ward, 67, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015.  He was born on October 27, 1947 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Glen John and Lois C. Chard Ward.

He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal.

Lynn married Jodie Kay Hillstrom on December 4, 1976.

Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed motorcycles, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, and guns and rifles. Above all he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Jodie Kay Ward; daughters, Kathryn “Katie” Lynn Ward (Jason) Barker, Ogden; and Nicole Lindell; his four grandchildren, Abbie, Jaysie, Brody, and Sadie; brothers, Bob, Don, and Jim; and sister, Pat.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
