Lynne Floto

Lynne Floto, 74, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Sunridge Assisted Living in Layton, Utah. She was born July 1, 1950, in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of David Lindquist Ellis and Mona Ruth Asay. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

After high school, Lynne married Brian Marsh on August 21, 1970, in the Ogden Temple. They went on to have four amazing children, two girls and two boys: Darcey, Jenny, Jamie and Tracy. Lynne spent her life taking care of her kids, family and serving others wherever she could. She spent her career working at the Credit Bureau of Ogden and then at Green Touch.

After getting divorced, Lynne married Errett James Floto, Jr. on January 22, 1988. Lynne loved taking pictures of her family, scrapbooking, shopping, wearing red, and reading romance novels.

Words her family would use to describe her include punctual, organized, determined, loving, joyful, and the perfect grandma!

Lynne is preceded in death by her father and husband. Lynne is survived by her mother and three siblings: Roger, Rosemary, and Karen, her children, Darcey (Dave) Pointer, Jenny (Shayne) Messerly, Jamie (Monique) Marsh, Tracy (Alli) Marsh, and four stepchildren: Amy (Lane) London, Nathan (Christy) Floto, Angela (Shan) Stevenson, and Holly (David) Tolson and 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

A special thanks to Applegate Hospice and Sunridge Assisted living for assisting Lynne in her final days.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
