M. Kerrye Takahashi
OGDEN a" Mitsuye Kerrye Takahashi, 59, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 10, 2008 at Ogden Regional Medical Center from pulmonary hypertension.
She was born January 30, 1949 in Ogden, a daughter of Mitsugi "Jiggs" and Misako "Midge" Kojima Takahashi. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1967 and also from Weber State College.
Kerrye worked at Utah Noodle Parlor. She then began her retail management career at Radio Shack where she worked for 19 years. She always spoke of her job, her co-workers, and her customers as an extended family. She was truly devoted to her career. To the many people and friends who knew her along the way this was self-evident.
Everyone who knew Kerrye loved to be around her. She injected people with good humor, her wide openness to life and her cheery demeanor. The lesson she left us all was that there is no room for disease when living a fully functioning self-actualized life.
The Takahashi Family expresses their thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Also thanks to Dr.''s Hadley, Whalen, and Abel for the high quality of on-going care they afforded to her.
Kerrye is survived by her companion, Phillip Okarma, Ogden; her parents, Jiggs and Midge Takahashi, West Point; and her sister, Barbara, Riverdale.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 12:00 noon at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
