M. Joy Turner

M. Joy Turner OGDEN – Melvina Joy Turner, 72, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born September 25, 1934 in Shenandoah, Iowa, a daughter of Weldon and Ione Parmley Turner. She grew up on the family farm and later moved with her family to Ogden, where she attended Ogden High School. Joy was a very active member of the Presbyterian Church. She was very involved in church and community activities. Joy’s best friends were her brother and sister. They not only spent their childhoods together, but also all of their adult lives. Joy loved them dearly. Surviving are her brother, Marland Turner and her sister, Sandra Turner, both of Ogden. Preceding Joy in death were her parents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with the Reverend Dr. Rick Minnich officiating.
